Which Quaderno this works on
Our Quaderno files are made for the Fujitsu QUADERNO A5 (Gen. 2 and Gen. 3C), which has a 10.3 inch screen. Fujitsu’s official guides and apps are in Japanese, so the steps below use Fujitsu’s own names where there’s an English one.
Download your PDF to your computer first. Your download links are in your order email.
Step 1: install QUADERNO PC App
Download QUADERNO PC App from Fujitsu’s download page. It runs on 64-bit Windows 10 and 11 (not on ARM processors such as Snapdragon) and on macOS 13 and newer. On Windows 11, Fujitsu says to turn on the optional Windows feature called WMIC first. The computer needs to be online when the app starts.
Step 2: pair the app once
Fujitsu sets up the first connection between the app and your Quaderno with the cable that came in the box: connect it, then follow the pairing steps on screen. You only do this once. From then on the app reaches your Quaderno over Wi-Fi.
Step 3: send the PDF over Wi-Fi
- On the Quaderno, press the Home button, tap Settings, turn on Wi-Fi and join the same Wi-Fi network as your computer. They can’t reach each other on different networks.
- Open QUADERNO PC App on your computer.
- Click Folder and open the folder on your Quaderno you want the file in.
- Drag the PDF from your computer into the app. Keep Wi-Fi on until the transfer finishes.
Putting a planner in the Schedule folder lets you open it straight from the Schedule button on the Quaderno’s Home menu, which Fujitsu recommends for planners.
Writing on the pages
Open the PDF and write on the page with the stylus. Fujitsu says your writing is saved the moment you write it. Our PDFs aren’t password-protected, so writing works on every page.
Using the links and contents
Tap a link in the page, such as an index entry or a breadcrumb, to jump to that page. After a jump, the Quaderno shows the page you came from, so you can tap it to go back. The PDF also has a table of contents: tap the contents icon in the toolbar to see it.
If something goes wrong
- If the app can’t find your Quaderno, check both are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- If you can’t write on a document, check the Quaderno has free space. Fujitsu says documents open read-only when memory is low.
