Which BOOX tablets this works on
We make BOOX files in four sizes: 7.8 inch (Tab Mini C), 8.5 inch (Note Mini C), 10.3 inch and 13.3 inch. Pick the size that matches your screen at checkout, since each file is drawn for that screen.
Download your PDF to a computer or phone first. Your download links are in your order email.
Option 1: BOOXDrop over Wi-Fi (BOOX’s recommended way)
- Put your BOOX and your computer on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open the BOOXDrop app on your BOOX. It shows a web address.
- Type that address into a browser on your computer and send the PDF to your BOOX.
- On the BOOX, find the file in the Receive tab of the BOOXDrop app.
BOOX’s guide: File transfer.
Option 2: send2boox, from anywhere
- In a browser, go to push.boox.com (or eur.boox.com if your BOOX uses the EU server) and log in with your BOOX account.
- Open the BOOXDrop tab and send the PDF under Online transfer.
- On the BOOX, find it in the Push tab of the BOOXDrop app.
Option 3: the BOOX Assistant app on your phone
Install BOOX Assistant (on iPhone, search the App Store for “BOOX Assistant”). Log in with the same account as your BOOX, put both on the same Wi-Fi and choose the same server. Then tap BOOXDrop, then Send to BOOX, and pick the PDF. It arrives in the Receive tab of BOOXDrop. BOOX’s guide: BOOX Assistant.
Option 4: Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive
If your PDF is in cloud storage, go to the Home Screen, open Library, tap the cloud icon, choose your service and log in. Tap the PDF to download it into your Library. BOOX’s guide: Cloud storage.
Writing on the pages
Open the PDF in NeoReader. Tap the Handwriting button in the main menu or on the floating toolbar, then write with your stylus. To find or export your handwriting later, go to Contents, then Handwriting. BOOX’s guide: Handwriting in NeoReader.
Contents and links
Our PDFs come with a table of contents. In NeoReader, tap the centre of the screen to show the main menu and tap Contents to jump to any section. BOOX’s guide: Contents.
Our pages also have tap links, such as index entries and breadcrumbs. BOOX’s help doesn’t say whether NeoReader follows links inside a PDF, so if a link doesn’t respond, use Contents to get around.
