How the ten sections work

A Quaderno A5 is large enough to become the only notebook you carry, which is exactly when mixed topics start colliding. This file treats each section as its own notebook that still lives inside one PDF. Section 01 can hold daily notes, section 02 a draft, section 03 meeting logs, section 04 reading notes, and the rest whatever else you are carrying that season.

Inside a section, every index row maps to one writing page. That is different from our Classic Notebook, where each entry spans five pages. Here the unit is a single page with its own title and date field, which suits short notes, dated logs, and lists you want to find by number later.

Nothing renumbers as you write. The thousand pages are fixed, the links point at fixed destinations, and empty pages at the end of a section stay empty until you need them. When a section fills up, keep writing in another section or download a fresh copy of the same ruling and start clean.

How navigation works on Quaderno

Everything runs in the Fujitsu Quaderno’s own PDF reader. There is no app to install and no account to connect for the links to work, because a PDF with internal links is a plain document as far as the device is concerned.

Tap a section on the collection index and the reader jumps to that section’s index. Tap a numbered row and you land on that writing page. Tap the breadcrumb at the top of a writing page and you return to the section or the collection index. Ordinary page-turn gestures still work if you would rather move through a section in order.

The file also carries proper PDF bookmarks for the cover, the collection index, and each section index, so the Quaderno’s own navigation panel shows those destinations without you having to find them by page number. Keep the files as PDFs when you transfer them. A converted or reflowed copy loses the fixed page layout and the tap links.

The four page styles

Lined is the tight ruling, and it is the one most people want for text. It fits more lines per page than a standard notebook ruling, which matters on an A5 e-ink screen where you are writing with a stylus rather than a pen.

Dot Grid gives you the dots without the lines, so the page stays quiet. It is the one to use if you mix handwriting with small diagrams, tables, or bullet layouts, since the dots give you something to align to without boxing you in.

Grid is the small square grid, and it is the right pick for anything that needs real structure: budgets, timetables, sketches drawn to scale, or notes you want to sit in columns.

Blank is exactly that. No ruling at all, just the header, the breadcrumb, and the title fields. Use it for drawing, mind maps, or handwriting that does not want to sit on a line.

All four are included, and they are separate files rather than a style switcher inside one file, so you can load one, two, or all four onto the device and treat them as different notebooks.

Made for the Fujitsu Quaderno A5

This version is sized for the Fujitsu Quaderno A5 and A5 Gen2. The page is 157 by 210 millimetres, drawn to fill that screen at native size so nothing is scaled up, letterboxed, or cropped, and the ruling sits at the spacing we drew it at rather than whatever a fit-to-screen zoom decides.

That exact fit is also why this listing is for the A5 only. If you own a Quaderno A4, wait for us rather than buying this one and stretching it. We only sell the sizes we have actually cut.

The same notebook is drawn for other screens too, so if you also use another tablet, look at the Supernote, reMarkable, and Kindle Scribe versions, each cut to that device’s own page size.

Which of our Quaderno notebooks to pick

We draw five notebooks for Quaderno, and they differ in how the pages are carved up rather than in how they look. This Multi-Section file is the one for several named streams living side by side.

From there, connect the Quaderno over USB and copy the PDFs into the documents area the same way you would any other file, or use the Fujitsu desktop tools if that is how you already move documents across. Once a file is on the device it opens in the built-in reader, and your handwriting is saved into the document as you write.

There is nothing to convert and nothing to unpack. Keep the files as PDFs. A converted or reflowed copy loses the fixed page layout and the tap links, which are the whole point of the notebook.
