A maze puzzle book for iPad with 900 mazes, each drawn across the full width of the screen so you can trace the path without zooming in. Three shapes, three levels, and the solution to every maze at the back.

The Maze Puzzle Book for iPad is a PDF with 900 mazes in three shapes: rectangular, pyramid and round. Each shape has 100 mazes at each of three levels, Easy, Medium and Hard, and every maze gets its own page drawn across the full width of the screen, so you can trace the path with the pen without zooming in.

The solution to every maze is at the back of the book with the path drawn in grey, so if a big one gets the better of you, you can check the route and carry on.

What is inside

900 mazes, one per page.
Rectangular mazes: 300, on grids of 10 by 13 cells (Easy), 14 by 18 (Medium) and 18 by 24 (Hard). You go in at the top left and out at the bottom right.
Pyramid mazes: 300 triangle-shaped mazes made of triangular cells, with the way in and the way out at the two bottom corners.
Round mazes: 300 circular mazes with 7, 10 or 13 rings. You start in the small circle in the centre and find your way out through the gap in the outer ring.
A Choose difficulty page for each shape, and a list for each level with a tick box for every maze.
A How to play page and solutions for all 900 mazes, four per page.

A note for Goodnotes users: these files are larger than 5 MB, and Goodnotes’ free plan only imports files up to 5 MB (Goodnotes pricing). They open in Goodnotes’ paid plans. We haven’t found a size limit in Notability or Apple Books, but we haven’t tested these larger files in them yet.

Finding your way around

The cover opens on a contents page, then a Choose difficulty page and a list for each level with a tick box for every puzzle. Puzzles are numbered straight through the book, and the answers at the back are in the same order, grouped by level, so you can always find the one you want by its number.

The PDF has the same tap links as our other puzzle books: breadcrumbs, previous and next arrows and an Answer link on every puzzle. We tested the same kind of links in our iPad notebooks in Goodnotes, Notability, Noteshelf, CollaNote and Apple Books, and they landed on the right page in each. The book works without them too.

Getting it onto your iPad

After checkout you get one download for the iPad you picked. Save it to the Files app, then import it into a notes app such as Goodnotes, Notability or Noteshelf as a new notebook, and write on any page with Apple Pencil. Our iPad guide has the steps for each app.

It’s a digital download. There’s nothing to print or ship, and the PDF is yours to keep and download again.

Frequently asked questions

Is every maze solvable?

Yes. Each maze has exactly one route from the way in to the way out, and that route is drawn in grey on the maze’s answer page at the back.

Where do the round mazes start?

In the small circle in the centre. You work your way outwards and leave through the single gap in the outer ring.

Can I erase my answers?

Yes. Your writing sits on top of the PDF page, so the eraser removes your digits, lines and pencil marks and leaves the printed puzzle as it was.

Do the links work on an iPad?

They should. Tap a link with your finger once the PDF is imported. We tested the same kind of links in our iPad notebooks in Goodnotes, Notability, Noteshelf, CollaNote and Apple Books, and they landed on the right page in each. Our iPad guide covers the details for each app.

Which iPad is it for?

The iPad mini, the 11 inch iPad, iPad Air and iPad Pro, and the 13 inch iPad Air and iPad Pro. Each size gets its own file drawn for its screen, so choose yours at checkout.

Can I print it?

It’s laid out for the reader’s screen, not for paper. You can print pages for your own use, but they come out at the reader’s page size rather than a full sheet.
