The Nonogram Puzzle Book for Supernote is a hyperlinked PDF with 300 nonograms, the grid logic puzzles where the numbers along each row and column tell you how many squares to fill in, and in which groups. There are 100 puzzles at each of three levels, and each one has its own page.

Every puzzle was run through a solver before it went into the book, and only puzzles the solver could finish were kept.

How navigation works

Everything runs in the Supernote’s own PDF reader, with no app to install. The cover opens on a contents page, and every list, puzzle and answer page has a breadcrumb at the top that takes you back a level in one tap, plus arrows to the previous and next page. Each puzzle page has a small Answer link in the corner that opens the page with its solution, and the number on each answer links back to its puzzle.

The PDF also carries bookmarks for the cover, the contents page, each section and the answers, so the Supernote sidebar can jump straight to them.

Getting it onto your Supernote

After checkout you get one download for the device you picked. Grab it on a computer first, since it’s a few megabytes and you’ll want it somewhere you can find it again.

From there the usual routes work: copy the PDF over USB into the Document folder, drop it through Supernote Partner, or sync it in via the cloud services you already have set up on the device. The contents page, breadcrumbs and Answer links are standard PDF links, so they keep working however you bring the file across.

It’s a digital download. There’s nothing to print or ship, and the PDF is yours to keep and download again.

Frequently asked questions

How do the numbers work?

Each number beside a row or above a column is a run of filled squares, in order, with at least one empty square between runs. A row marked 3 1 has a run of three filled squares, then a gap, then one more.

Do the finished grids make pictures?

No. The solutions are patterns, which is how most generated nonogram books work. The fun is in the logic rather than the reveal.

Can I mark squares I know are empty?

Yes, most people draw a small cross in them. It helps on the bigger grids, and it erases cleanly like everything else you write.

Which Supernote models does this fit?

The Nomad (A6 X2) and the A6 X, at 119 by 159 mm, and the Manta (A5 X2), at 163 by 217 mm. Choose your device at checkout and you get the file drawn for that screen.

Can I print it?

It’s laid out for the tablet screen, not for paper. You can print pages for your own use, but they come out at the tablet’s page size, so a Nomad page is about the size of a small paperback.
